Ages 8 - 14: Are you dreaming of being a writer? Got lots of ideas in your head you want to put on paper? An entire universe of stories will be at your fingertips in this hands-on class. Students will  practice several creative writing techniques that will get even the craziest ideas out of their heads and onto the paper. Students will experiment with writing in fiction or non-fiction, and will leave the class with completed writing exercises and lots of ideas to keep writing a world of stories outside of class.

Do you raise your hand in class? How does it feel to raise your hand? Girls are invited to learn about the "Raise Your Hand" book and movement created by Girl Scout Alice Tapper.  Learn to identify her strengths and skills, encourage teamwork, self-acceptance, and connect with mentors.

Soaring through Space

Ages 5 - 11: Get ready to soar! Using cardboard, special tools and other recycle materials construct a spaceship that can fly through outer space. Add special gadgets and tools to your ship to make your space trip out of this world.  This program is presented by the Terre Haute Children's Museum.
