Macy Kalb from the the Vigo County YMCA
is joining us to offer Kids Yoga. This program is designed to honor children's more active energy
levels. Movement during class alternates between active and calm to keep young
yogis' attention. Music, dancing, and games are all incorporated as kids learn
basic yoga poses and even breathing and relaxation techniques that they can use
during their normal, daily routines. For safety, please make sure children wear shoes with non-slip bottoms.
Come and enjoy fitness with your little one! Parents of tots ages 3-5 will learn various cardio and yoga exercise moves that can be performed
together. This program will allow for parents to get a workout in and play along with their child
at the same time, which will be a great learning experience for both parent and child!
Parents, come work out and play with your baby at the same
time! Erin Gregory, a certified fitness instructor, will be here to teach parents/caregivers effective exercise moves that will encourage parents to stay fit and active in and
out of the home. The exercises will be strength focused including: baby bicep
curls, baby squats, baby crunches, and more as the goal of the class is to
educate parents about fitness and help them to get excited about leading a
healthy, active life with their new addition to the family.
