Join Karen Land and her Alaskan Husky Romano as they take you on a journey to the Alaskan wilderness. Karen, a Hoosier native, is a three-time participant in the 1,150 mile Iditarod Sled Race. Along with Romano, her retired sled dog, Karen will share her experiences as she raced with her dog team through some of the world's toughest terrain!

Take part in a delicious smoothie-tasting demonstration and then it’s outside to meet our local First Robotics team 5188 and their heroic robot. This is a great chance to learn what robotics is all about.

Join us for music and movies at the West Terre Haute Little League Ballpark. The Lemon Brothers Band will kick off the fun with an outdoor movie to follow. This is a free event for families in the community. Our summer reading 2015 theme is, “Every Hero Has a Story.” Adults and children can sign up for summer reading and get started towards our Vigo County Community Goal. Community Locations

The Greek gods and goddesses were "super heroes" to the ancient Greeks, just like Superman, Batman, and others are to us today. Many of the planets were named after these gods and goddesses. Planetarium Director Holly Hudson will share stories about the planets and constellations in two shows at the Allen Planetarium at South Vigo High School. First showing is from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm; the second showing is from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. No registration or tickets are necessary for the family program!
