Fire safety is a very important skill to know.  The Terre Haute fire fighters will be on hand to show us how to use fire prevention tips. Children will watch a video about how to prevent fires from occurring and see what a fire fighter looks like in his or her gear.  If the weather permits, the fire truck will be here, and part of the program will be held outdoors.  Sparky the fire dog will be here to pose for pictures with the children.

The Community School of the Arts' Terre Haute Guitar Club is for beginning to intermediate levels, offering an opportunity for students to learn to play the guitar and create music while working with a group of peers. Students work on guitar techniques and musical concepts through engaging games and activities. Guitars are supplied to students in-class. No music experience is required, but space is limited to ten children that pre-register.

Purdue Extension is providing sessions focusing on parent-child relationships. We'll face tricky topics such as handling meltdowns, the stress of being a parent and building strong communication with children. These sessions will surround the 4 pillars of success:  physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and communication skills that are acquired from birth to age five.
