Earn a patch with each skill completion. Patches provided by the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department. Monday 6/27 is sign up and information day. Activities run 6/28 through 7/1/16.

The Vigo County Public Library, West Branch in partnership with Purdue Extension, Marie West and other local community organizations will help you get in the game this summer. Activities include cooking, planting, crafts, fun science experiments and outdoor games. Library programs will run from 1pm to 4pm each day and registration is required. Parental involvement and participation are encouraged at all young peoples' events and programs.

Spend your spring break sanding, sawing, drilling, using clamps and hammering with Benchworx. Benchworx is a mobile education program designed to introduce the art of woodworking to middle school children. Children will create toys and other small woodworking projects in a custom designed trailer fitted with 16 workstations. Benchworx will be at the library every weekday during spring break, Monday, March 28 to Friday, April 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Registration and a parent permission slip is required.

How well do you know your nursery rhymes? Join us for Mother Goose Olympics! This program will feature a combination of nursery rhymes and physical exercise for the children as they compete in special games named after some popular nursery rhymes.

The Vigo County Public Library, West Branch in partnership with Hamilton Center, Purdue Extension, and ISU Institute for Community Sustainability are bringing Spring Break to West Terre Haute. "Spring Break" will be held at the West Branch for two age groups. Programs will run Monday/Wednesday for ages 5-10 and Tuesday/Thursday for ages 11-14. Activities include cooking, planting, crafts and outdoor games. Computer time will also be available for those looking to brush up on technology skills. Library programs will run from noon to 3pm each day and registration is required. Parental involvement and participation are encouraged at all young peoples' events and programs.
