In compliance with Governor Holcomb's state mandate, anyone entering Vigo County Public Library buildings is required to wear a mask or face covering. If you are medically unable to comply with the mandate, please utilize our no-contact services. You can call us at 812.232.1113, text us at 812.612.8275, or chat with a librarian for assistance. If you need materials, you can utilize our curbside pickup service or have your holds delivered to your home. We appreciate your cooperation.
In order to safely transition to having you and your family back in our buildings, we've taken preventative measures that will allow you to access some of our core Library services—including limiting the hours that we will be open to the public. The Main Library will be open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. West Branch Library will be open Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Fill out your 2020 Census, file your taxes, or pay your bills with free WiFi available in the parking lots of both our buildings. You won't even need to leave your car or have a password. Just log onto vcpl-wireless.
Whether you're picking up items you've place on hold, selections from your personal librarian, or printed documents, we'll safely deliver your requested materials to your vehicle when you arrive. Learn more about Curbside Service.
Don't run out of things to read, watch, or play! Let your personal librarian find books, audiobook, movies, and games for your family to enjoy while you are staying safe at home. To get started, provide your personal librarian with information about what you like and how you'd like to receive your items.
