to George Washington Bennett

November 21, 1836



                     Terre Haute Nov 21 1836

Dear Friend
               I wish you to do me the favor to
write and let me know whether you know or
have [heard?] from my son Sampson in any
part of your place  As I have looked
very of tin for a letter but in vain
     And the last Account i had he was
sick  we are all well & our County
is healthy  I wish you to write by return
Mail or if he is there I wish him to
write as i wish to hear from him
  James Haynes wife is laying very Sick but is
Mending Slowly
                           no more at present
