Preschool Story Time

There will be stories, songs, hand-on learning and art projects! This program is created with children ages 3-5 in mind.  Along with parents and caregivers, we do a half hour librarian- led story time and a half hour of free choice play. Handwriting Without Tears

Handwriting Without Tears teaches beginning literacy and fine motor skills through multisensory activities perfect for those with physical disabilities and kids on the spectrum. Instructors are prepared to adapt the lessons to meet specific needs.  This program is a collaboration between ISU's Community School of the Arts; ISU's Occupational Therapy program and Saint Mary of the Woods Music Therapy program. Dr. Paula Jarrard (supervisor) and Occupational Therapy graduate students, along with Prof Sharon R. Boyle (supervisor) and Music Therapy undergraduate students, will facilitate sessions.
